Option 1: Imagine a society where neurodiversity is understood and supported. What would schools, workplaces, friendships, and public spaces look like?
Option 2: If you could change any one misconception, barrier, or attitude towards autism, what would you change and why?
Option 3: Describe the mind of an individual on the autism spectrum.

No entry fee: No entry fee is required. Participation in this writing competition is free.
Eligibility: This competition is open to everyone.
Accepted formats: Entries may be submitted in any format but must require a title.
One entry per participant: Each participant is only allowed to submit one entry. Multiple submissions from the same participant may result in disqualification.
Word limit: Entries must not exceed 750 words. Titles are not included in the word count.
Language: All entries must be written in English.

Originality: All entries must be original works created by the entrant. Plagiarism of any length will result in disqualification.
Artificial Intelligence: Entries must be written entirely by the entrant and must not be generated, in whole or in part, by Artificial Intelligence. The organisers reserve the right to request clarification from entrants if the authenticity of a submission is in doubt. Any work found to have been generated by AI may be disqualified, and any prize awarded based on that submission may be forfeited.
Appropriate content: Entries must be suitable for a school/community audience. Submissions containing explicit material, excessive violence, sexual content, profanity, vulgar language, racism, discrimination, hate speech, or offensive content may be rejected or disqualified.

Submission method: Entries must be submitted through this form. Submissions sent through Instagram DM, email, or other unofficial methods will not be accepted unless stated otherwise by the organisers.
Deadline: Submissions close on 1 August 2026 at 3:59 PM GMT. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Instagram requirement: After submitting, participants must follow the official AFA instagram account, comment on the competition post and tag three people. The post can be found at the link below.

Judging decision: The judges’ decision is final. The organisers will not enter into discussions or appeals regarding the final results.
Prizes: Winners will receive cash prizes as follows:
- First Place: 100RM + cert (gold) + feature on website
- Second Place: 50RM + cert (silver) + feature on website
- Third Place: 30RM + cert (bronze) + feature on website
Winner announcement: Winners will be announced on 15th August through Instagram.
Prize and certificate distribution: Winners will be contacted via email to receive their cash prizes. All participants will receive certificates by email.

Permission to publish: By submitting an entry, participants grant the organisers permission to publish their entry and name on the society’s platforms for promotional, educational, or awareness purposes. Credit will be given to the entrant.
Privacy: Personal information collected through the submission form will only be used for competition administration, judging, prize distribution, and certificate delivery.
Disqualification: The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who breaches the rules, submits false information, submits inappropriate content, plagiarises, uses AI-generated writing, or behaves in a way that undermines the fairness of the competition.
Agreement to rules: By submitting an entry, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all competition rules.
